Lee, a Chosonjok (Ethnic Korean) from the city of Yangji (China), gained notoriety as a reliable enforcer and assassin for local mobs. He escaped to Seoul, amid an investigation linking him to a series of homicides, and found employment from a subsidiary (Gold Moon), of the Seven Stars Mob. He became right-hand man to his mentor/crew leader, and utilized his Chinese background; forging an alliance with the Triads.  Rival crews within, threatened by Gold Moon's meteoric ascension, assassinated their leader, and accused Lee.
